What’s All the hoopla?

I am a HUGE fan of library services in the 21st century. One of my favorite digital library resources is hoopla. Hoopla is a free service that allows you to electronically borrow movies, music, audio books, e-books, and comics. Your borrowed content can then be accessed through hoopla on a web browser, phone, or tablet. There is a monthly limit to how many items you can borrow that varies by library. Recently my library upped the number of monthly borrows per user to 7. You can either download or stream the item you check out, which you can access for a week. The best thing about hoopla is that you do not have to wait to borrow an item in their collection like you do a digital library book. When you find what you want to borrow, you click and it is yours. Instant gratification!

My favorite part of this service is their music catalogue! They have a really wide assortment of new music; so, if there is an album you are interested in, but you are unsure as to whether you want to buy it, you can borrow it and give it a spin.

They also have a great selection of Grammy nominated artists! Did you hear an artist Monday night that sparked your interest? Get on hoopla and check them out! https://www.hoopladigital.com/

Below is just a sample of the Grammy featured artists they have available:
