Album Review – Leslie Odom Jr.

In mourning because Tony Winner Leslie Odom Jr. just took his last curtain call from Hamilton?  Did you know he released a self-title album of musical songs in 2014?  This is not a life changing album, but Odom has a pleasant voice and does a good job of singing classics, such as “Look For The Silver Lining”, “Autumn Leaves”, and “Joey, Joey, Joey.”  Listening to this album I totally thought this was something my grandmother would enjoy; however, it did not strike me as something very original.  Even the album cover is very reminiscent of Michael Buble’s It’s Time album:

All in all, if you are a Leslie Odom Jr. fan, you may enjoy this album.  Personally, I’ll be revisiting the Hamilton soundtrack.
