I finally had a chance to read the 8th installment in the Harry Potter series this week. I’m not going to reveal any spoilers, but I do want to say that even you know many of the characters, the story revolves around new characters. So don’t get your expectations up that you are going to spend a lot of time with the previous stars, because there is not a lot of character depth with Harry, Ron, & Hermione.
I enjoyed the book, as a revisit to the wizarding world. It reminded me a bit of Sorcerer’s Stone, but didn’t quite have that tie-everything-together wow that Rowling’s plots usually incorporate. Nevertheless, Potter fans will definitely enjoy this play turned book.
Also if you haven’t seen yet, Pottermore announced a release of more short stories that dive into the plots we already know.
