Sticky rice balls, a toddler treat

My twins love rice, but wow what a mess after dinner.  Rice will be stuck to clothes, skin, hair, high chairs, and the floor.  To make it easier for them to eat, I decided to try to make sticky balls.  I bought sushi rice which is short grain and supposed to be stickier.  It was pretty pricey, around $7 for a 2lb jar.

I cooked it following the directions except I used chicken broth to flavor the rice.  While it was still warm, I used my small scoop to form the balls, pressing the rice into the scoop.

If you need to handle them, I found that rubbing a few drops of olive oil on my hands kept them from sticking to me.  I was really happy with the results, which were perfect for tiny hands!
